The café's name "Teumari" (틈:gap, space) reflects its concept of providing a peaceful gap in your busy day. Climbing the ladder to the rooftop might be a bit adventurous, but the panoramic views of the traditional stone walls and surrounding hanok village make it absolutely worthwhile.
Teumari serves excellent coffee, desserts including their popular cheesecake, and offers a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The blend of traditional Korean architecture with contemporary café culture creates a unique ambiance that's become increasingly popular on Seosunra-gil.
Location
Located at 107-1 Seosunra-gil in Jongno-gu, Teumari is easily accessible from Jongno 3-ga Station (Exit 7, 5-minute walk) or Anguk Station (Exit 4, 8-minute walk). The café is part of the trendy Seosunra-gil area, known for its charming mix of traditional hanok buildings and modern establishments.
The ladder to the rooftop can be challenging, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a bit of a climb. The rooftop has limited seating, so visiting during off-peak hours increases your chances of securing a spot with the best views. Note that there's no parking available, so using public transportation is recommended.
