Seoul Luggage Storage Guide: Lockers, Apps & Airport Delivery
Arrived in Seoul but it's too early to check in? Checked out of your hotel but your flight isn't until evening? Don't want to lug your suitcase around Myeongdong all day?
Here's everything you need to know about storing luggage in Seoul. From subway lockers to app-based storage to airport delivery services—you've got more options than you think.
T-Locker: Seoul Subway Coin Lockers
T-Locker (또타라커) is Seoul's official subway locker system, and it's your best friend for luggage storage. With over 5,500 lockers across 269 subway stations, there's probably one near wherever you're going.
How It Works
T-Locker runs on an app. Before you use it, download the "T-Locker" app from the App Store or Google Play.
Steps to Use:
- Download the T-Locker app
- Select your station and locker size
- Pay via credit card or mobile payment
- Scan the QR code at the locker
- Door opens → Store your bag
To retrieve: Tap "Retrieve" in the app, scan the QR code again, done.
Sizes & Pricing
- Small (32cm height): Backpacks, day bags → ₩1,000/2 hours
- Medium (56cm height): Carry-on suitcases → ₩1,500/2 hours
- Large (84cm height): Full-size suitcases → ₩2,000/2 hours
Charged in 2-hour blocks. You can store items for up to 7 days (though you probably won't need that long).
Pro tip: Prices work out to around $0.75-$1.50 USD per 2 hours. Way cheaper than hauling your bag on the subway all day.
T-Locker Reservations
In busy areas like Myeongdong, Hongdae, or Gangnam, lockers fill up fast. The app lets you reserve ahead.
Heads up: If you don't use your reservation within 2 hours, it auto-cancels and you lose the reservation fee. Only book when you're actually ready to use it.
Finding T-Lockers
Look for signs saying "물품보관함" (Locker) or "Baggage Storage" in subway stations. They're usually near exits or transfer corridors.
What NOT to store: Passports, laptops, cash, or other valuables. These are unstaffed lockers—if something goes missing, there's no compensation.
Locker-to-Locker Delivery
Here's a cool feature: You can send your bags from one T-Locker to another. Store your luggage at Seoul Station, request delivery to Hongdae Station, and it'll arrive in 3-5 hours.
Price: ₩5,000-₩15,000 depending on distance. You can even send bags to Incheon Airport.
Coin Lockers at Major Stations
Besides T-Locker, many stations have traditional coin-operated lockers from various providers.
Seoul Station Lockers
Seoul Station has the most luggage storage options in the city. You'll find both unstaffed coin lockers and staffed storage facilities like Safex and Travel Store.
Hours: Most lockers operate 05:00-24:00 (you can't access after midnight!) Location: 1st floor main hall, near exits Pricing: Small ₩2,000, Medium ₩3,000, Large ₩4,000 (4 hours)
Staffed Storage (Safex):
- Open 24 hours
- Takes oversized or oddly-shaped items
- More expensive (₩5,000-₩10,000/day)
- Peace of mind with staff supervision
Hongdae Station Lockers
Hongik University Station connects Line 2, AREX (Airport Express), and Gyeongui-Jungang Line. Lockers are clustered near Exits 3 and 4.
Insider tip: The lockers near the Airport Express platform tend to be less crowded. If Exit 3 lockers are full, try Exit 4 or the AREX level.
Gangnam & Samseong Station
These business district stations have plenty of lockers, but they fill up during commute hours when office workers use them too.
Payment: Most accept cash, credit cards, and T-money cards. Foreign cards work at some machines but not all—carry a bit of cash just in case.
App-Based Bag Storage (Bounce, Radical Storage, Stasher)
Sometimes subway lockers are full, or you're nowhere near a station. That's where bag storage apps come in—they partner with cafes, convenience stores, and shops to store your luggage.
Bounce
Coverage: 227 locations in Seoul (most extensive) Price: From ₩2,900/day per bag Insurance: Up to $10,000 per bag Booking: App or website, reserve ahead
They cover Myeongdong, Hongdae, Gangnam, Itaewon, Jongno—pretty much everywhere tourists go. Partner locations are usually hostels, cafes, or convenience stores.
Radical Storage
Price: ₩7,000/day per bag (flat rate regardless of size) Best for: Large suitcases (since the price doesn't change)
Stasher
Partners: GS25 convenience stores (they're everywhere) Price: ₩4,490/day Insurance: Up to ₩19,000 per bag
Since GS25 stores are on every corner, finding a Stasher location is super easy.

Common Questions
Q: Can I store my passport or laptop in T-Locker? A: Absolutely not. Never store valuables in unstaffed lockers. Lost or stolen items aren't covered. Keep important things with you.
Q: What if all lockers are full? A: Use T-Locker's reservation feature, check nearby stations, or switch to an app service like Bounce. GS25 convenience stores via Stasher are a solid backup.
Q: Do foreign credit cards work? A: T-Locker app accepts most foreign cards. Older coin lockers sometimes only take Korean cards or cash. Carry about ₩10,000 cash to be safe.
Q: Can I store bags for multiple days? A: T-Locker allows up to 7 days, but fees add up. For multi-day storage, ask your hotel or guesthouse—they often hold bags for free.
Q: Can I drop off in Hongdae and pick up in Gangnam? A: Yes! Use T-Locker's inter-station delivery. Store at Hongdae, request delivery to Gangnam, bags arrive in 3-5 hours. Extra cost around ₩5,000.
Q: Can I access lockers late at night or early morning? A: T-Locker follows subway hours (roughly 05:00-24:00). For 24-hour access, use staffed storage like Safex at Seoul Station or some 24-hour convenience store services.
Q: Do I need the app or can I just walk up? A: T-Locker requires the app. If you don't want to download it, use traditional coin lockers or staffed storage. Bounce and Stasher also work via website.
Bottom Line: Explore Seoul Hands-Free
Seoul's luggage storage infrastructure is excellent. Lockers at nearly every subway station, app-based storage across the city, and even airport-to-hotel delivery.
Don't let bags hold you back. Spend ₩2,000-₩5,000 (about $1.50-$4 USD) and enjoy Seoul without lugging suitcases around.
